Located in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, the Olaya district is a fast-growing financial neighborhood. The region has seen a sudden burst of luxury, branded hotels in recent years to accommodate the increasing numbers of business travelers. The Quarter Hotel and Spa is the latest in a line of signature niche hotels offering a variety of accommodations for guests. The luxury modern hotel interior design adopts a postmodern design style that complements the classic exterior design.

The extravagant double-height entrance lobby is luxurious, yet quirky with its patterned flooring. Traditional Calcutta marble is mixed with exclusive Black Marquina stone marble to create a contrast in paving. Dundass Petite marble is used for the bold, wavy floor pattern. The organic lines of paving mirror the curved, round columns and the lavish ceiling pendant. These curves create softness and warmth, welcoming guests into the hotel.
A massive, double-height arched window defines the entrance and allows bright, natural light into the magnificent lobby area. It further emphasizes the use of organic lines.
At the far end, a dropped ceiling defines the reception area with two desks that sit behind low, gold-plated, rectangular, grid-shaped screens. An arched mirror behind the desks mirrors the arched entrance.
This play on lines – curvy and straight, brings the postmodern style alive, adding a sense of drama and individualism to this splendid entrance lobby.

The entrance lobby of this luxury modern hotel interior design extends into a lavish, open waiting area that features plush couches in shades of brown and mustard yellow. The lounge chairs are a dark grey; this play between grey and brown is alternated and repeated in the cushion accents on the light mustard yellow couches.
The seating is set against a series of stylish mashrabiya screens. Designed with a stainless-steel core and gold plating to give the screens an ornate, showy look, the screens are a modern interpretation of the traditional mashrabiya screens used in Islamic architecture to provide privacy. These signature screens are used throughout the hotel and help to unify the design through repetition.
Gold plated, palm-tree shaped lights add to the vibe of luxurious style. The design uses elegant light fixtures, ultra-comfortable seating and an elegant color palette to exude a sense of unmistakable opulence.

Repeated themes and colors used throughout the vast lobby and waiting areas add a cohesiveness to the design.
The walls become canvases for architectural art; black and gold Marquina marble contrasts with the exquisitely delicate mashrabiya style, gold-plated screen. The vertical elements of the screen are repeated in the delicate ring-shaped lighting fixtures and the sleek wall-mounted lighting fixtures.

Even though the lobby is very spacious, seating nooks are created to break the space up into smaller, intimate waiting areas. Accent pieces, such as the large gold-plated circular mirror, give these areas a stylish edge.
Gold is generously used to add a sense of luxury. The gold accents pick up on the gold flecks in the Dundass Petite flooring pattern as well as the black-gold marble used as wall panels.
A long corridor leads to opulent toilets for lobby guests. Vertical Calcutta Gold marble panels are framed with light oak. Recessed lighting panels together with a wall mounted, gold-plated fixtures enhance the perspective of this long, narrow corridor.

Leading off from the lobby, this luxury modern hotel interior design features a stylish, double-level restaurant. The lower level restaurant is more formal; the mezzanine level restaurant is more intimate.
Classy and elegant, light oak tables and chairs pick up on the gold veins in the Calcutta Gold flooring. Oak wall paneling complements the tables and chairs. Turquoise upholstery adds a pop of color and contrasts with the heavily veined grey marble panels on the walls.
One half of the restaurant, near the window wall, features a grand double-height ceiling. This space is bright and airy, infused with natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The use of vertical geometry enhances the height. Vertical wooden strips frame an arched niche with a gracefully twisted olive tree. Frosted glass panels with vertical striations screen the restaurant from the adjacent entrance lobby.
Sleek, conical light fixtures are suspended from the ceiling to illuminate the table tops. With its light color palette and bright natural light, the restaurant is cheerful and invigorating.

The L-shaped mezzanine level restaurant is a continuation of the ground floor restaurant and uses the same color and materials palette.
Vertical gold-plated geometric railings, reminiscent of those used in the lobby and waiting areas, are designed as miniature versions of the signature mashrabiya style screens.
The repetitive elements and colors tie both the ground level and mezzanine level spaces together.
Elegant and relaxing, this luxury hotel interior design is refreshing, warm and welcoming with an unmistakable aura of luxury.
