The modern interior design style is characterized by simple, no-frills furnishings and décor that focus on using natural materials in earthy tones. This modern luxury house interior design is a classic example of modern concepts interpreted in the cultural context of an Arab country, namely Saudi Arabia.
Paying attention to the cultural influences of the region, the design provides for separate entrances and social spaces for men and women. The Arabic influence on modern design concepts can also be seen in the use of gilding to add a touch of grandeur to the design.

Wood and stone come together in the Men’s Majlis to create a clean, elegant look devoid of busy patterns and prints. The color palette is neutral beige and grey with an added tinge of luxurious gold. White Calcutta marble on the walls and floor are complemented by a rich silvery-grey wallpaper. Dark wooden panels provide an element of contrast.
The furniture follows this pattern with comfortable upholstered sofas in a neutral beige, complemented with mismatched grey fauteuils. Gilded, square coffee tables with white marble tops reflect the geometry of the central lighting fixture. A hint of gold is also noticeable on the wall sconces and the framing for the artwork, which mirrors the color scheme of the men’s majlis in this modern luxury house interior design.

The Arabic majlis combines the concepts of modern design with low-lying furniture that is traditional in Arabic households. Grey wood vein marble panels are interspersed with wood cladding to create a warm, relaxing vibe.
The modern design of this room favors strong, clean lines evident in the strict geometry of the furniture. The central hanging pendant lamp is slender and its round geometry is reflected in the artwork on the walls.
A subtle touch of gold in the lighting fixtures emphasizes the warmth in a room dominated by monochromatic grey and brown.

The entrance hall of this modern luxury house interior design sets the tone for the rest of the house with its refined finishes and sparse furnishings. Spacious and open, a console flanked by a pair of fauteuils is the only furniture adorning the room. Set against a backdrop of White Calcutta marble framed by a band of black Emperador marble, the console and fauteuils serve a specific function. As the entrance hall serves more as a transitional space, there is no need for additional furniture. This minimal décor, where form serves function, is typical of modern interior design and it helps maintain the streamlined look of the entrance area.
In order to prevent the space from feeling clinical, natural wooden accents are used to introduce warmth. Wooden framed glass doors lead into the adjacent dining room, the men’s Majlis and the Arabic majlis.

A slender, open partition delineates the wash areas and guest toilet from the entrance foyer. Simple and sleek, using contrasting black and white colors, the wash area and guest toilet are highly functional. Favoring strong lines with minimum detailing, a long rectangular marble counter features dark sinks, set against a simple rectangular mirror mounted on a wood-clad wall. Wooden shelves provide space for storage. The accessories are gilded to add richness to the minimal interiors.
The toilet is clad in contrasting marble colors; black Emperador marble walls rest adjacent to White Calcutta marble on the walls and flooring. White toilet fittings are mounted on the black marble walls, while a black marble freestanding sink rests against the white marble-clad wall. Chrome fittings complete the picture.

Hues of grey with pops of earthy brown define the indulgent dining room. Subtly textured grey wallpaper panels co-exist with smooth acrylic emulsion wall paint. Grey wall-to-wall carpet covers the floor, providing textural variation from the grey wallpaper and paint. The wooden dining table, surrounded by plush upholstered dining chairs in shades of velvety grey and rich brown, adds warmth to room. A flat-screen TV mounted on the far wall is flanked by two hidden wall cabinets ideal for storage.
The white wall moldings add a classical touch to this elegant dining space. A black console resting on a delicate, gilded frame rests against a mirror framed by molding. Across the room, warm brown upholstered chairs flank a round, gilded side table.
A gilded pendant chandelier adds a glamorous touch to the elegant dining room and is complemented by gold wall-mounted wall lights. Concealed lighting in the recessed ceiling provides ambient light, aided by flush ceiling-mounted spotlights.

Distinctly more feminine than the men’s Majlis, the women’s Majlis is charming and pleasant. The monochromatic beige of the carpet and walls is offset by a deep turquoise. This color is generously used throughout the room for upholstery, curtains and décor accents. The artwork on the wall also picks up on the white, beige and blue hues in the room.
Gold accents are more liberally used in this room than in others in the house, emphasizing the feminine vibe and the feeling of richness. Gold framed coffee tables, an open gilded screen, and shiny gold wall fixtures add drama to the room and give it a warm glow.
The TV is set against a white marble-clad wall. Subtle touches of wood, used for the cladding as well as the base for the furniture, contrast with the beige overtones and complement the turquoise color splendidly.
The principles of modern design are clearly visible in this modern luxury house interior design, which emphasizes monochromatic color schemes complemented by natural materials. Each space in the house is designed with a clarity of function and purpose. Unnecessary embellishment is purposely absent, demonstrating a preference for simple and uncluttered spaces.
