Conceptual design defines the direction of a space, irrespective of its intended use. It helps to identify design intent and serves as a funnel through which ideas can be channeled in order to meet spatial requirements.
The Cisne Lounge Café design is the design child of a unique concept that emphasizes purity and nobility through minimalist design. Organic elements are introduced into an orthogonal space; while the plan is a rigid rectangle, flowing curves add an element of movement and fluidity.
The design style is French modern and the luxury café design aims to attract mid to high-level visitors. Serving specialty coffee, cakes, pastries and light snacks, the food and beverages on offer are exquisite in taste and presentation. From the food to the décor, every effort has been made to ensure that visitors enjoy a unique experience that will have them coming back for more.
Upon entering, the first sight that greets visitors is a magnificent stained-glass window with curved panels. Made of silver, glass, and onyx, this huge window extends up to the double height ceiling, immediately creating an impression of grandeur and luxury. A spectacular custom designed Algorithm Vibia lamp, shaped like a wave, fuses beauty and geometry, filling café patrons with a sense of wonder.
The logo, which resembles a swan, is a primary source of inspiration for the luxury café design. It is reflected in all the prominent interior elements from the lighting fixtures to the furnishings and materials. The delicate, graceful curves of a swan can be seen in curves of the suspended lighting fixture and even in the patterns of the flooring material. The logo is also visually reinforced on the branding merchandise in the café. This is elegantly displayed in a simple glass case supported on the onyx kitchen counter.
The color of choice for the café is pristine white, with shades of pearl, gray and green. Light colors have been deliberately used to refresh the senses and add a cool freshness to the white café design. The use of curves can also be seen in the design of the sofa backs. These use the same panel shapes as that of the stained-glass windows and resemble the wings of a swan. The gracefully curving sofa backs also serve as light partitions between the sofa seats.
The plants chosen are grey-green and add a delicate splash of color without detracting from the light color scheme. They also give the impression of being in the midst of an oasis.
Patrons can also enter the café through a handicap elevator located at the center of the lounge café design. The attention to detail can be seen in the design of the elevator which follows the same light color scheme and clean, minimalist design. The elevator is flanked by a toilet on one side. The toilet is simply furnished with a tall monolithic basin block and is as crisp and clean as the rest of the café design.
An office at the far end of the café, on the ground floor, provides an uncluttered work space. The green wall gives the illusion of being outdoors.
The luxury café design exudes a vibe of opulence and richness reinforced by the use of highly stylized custom furniture. Gubi chairs and Vibia pendant fixtures are branded products that add to the feeling of grandeur. The use of marble and onyx gives the lounge café design a feeling of exclusivity, making patrons feel special and important.
The mezzanine floor houses the more intimate spaces with private rooms with sofa seating and a meeting room for business meetings. The attention to detail can be seen in the custom design of the sofa backs, which are shaped to match the curve of the adjacent glass panels.
A conference room on the mezzanine floor is tastefully furnished with a marble-topped Gubi table. Capable of accommodating up to 10 guests, this luxurious meeting room overlooks the splendid Vibia Algorithm light fixture and seating below.
A corridor on the mezzanine level leads to two smaller rooms with sofas. The recurrent pointed arch motif is repeated on as a wall pattern along the corridor and also frames the doorway to the two smaller rooms. These smaller meeting rooms can accommodate a minimum of 5 guests per room.
The careful detailing of every element in this luxury café design and the unique representation of the brand logo in the design make the Cisne café standout from others in the neighborhood.
